Since I started blogging, I've read so many amazing books, and some not so good books, but there have really been a few that stood out. However, the best book that I've read since I started blogging has to be The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin. This was also my favorite book of 2011, but it has surpassed so many of my expectations for books. Mara Dyer was just an awesome read, from start to finish, and I could just feel my mind bending to the insanity that was happening!! I think this book has stuck with me the most since I started blogging, and even though I know not everyone has loved it, it really had an impact on my bookish life :)

I loved Mara Dyer too!! I thought it was fantastic, and I do love books that have some good creepiness to them.

ReplyDeleteI think I would have enjoyed Mara Dyer more if there hadn't been so much excitement and hype over it. I loved the beginning and the end, but a lot of it was kind of "eh" for me, because I had such high expectations. I did enjoy it though. : ]

ReplyDeleteI LOVED Mara Dyer. Seriously. I stayed up late to finish it. I'll admit, I became a little obsessed, and tweeted Michelle that I was going on a hunt for a wild Noah (because that boy is ATTRACTIVE). Then, a few days later Noah (I can only assume it was Michelle) tweeted me and asked if I had found one. I pretty much died. It was so cool to have the characters come alive like that. I'm kind of blathering, but I figured I'd share how much I love that book too!
