It's been months since Aria last saw Perry. Months since Perry was named Blood Lord of the Tides, and Aria was charged with an impossible mission. Now, finally, they are about to be reunited. But their reunion is far from perfect. The Tides don't take kindly to Aria, a former Dweller. And with the worsening Aether storms threatening the tribe's precarious existence, Aria begins to fear that leaving Perry behind might be the only way to save them both.
Threatened by false friends, hidden enemies, and powerful temptations, Aria and Perry wonder, Can their love survive through the ever night?
In this second book in her spellbinding Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi combines fantasy and dystopian elements to create a captivating love story as perilous as it is unforgettable.
Interview with Veronica Rossi
1.
Tell us how Through the
Ever Night differs from
Under the Never Sky
Twitter style, in 140
characters or less!
The
world is unraveling so the situations are more intense. Aria and
Perry are both tried to their limits. It's epic!
2.
How was the writing process different the second time around?
It
was different because I was writing on deadlines, and also writing
with fans in mind. I love my fans, but I had to mentally put up a
wall to make sure I wasn't writing what I thought they wanted. I know
that sounds strange, because I actually do
want my fans to love the story, but my priority is always to stay
true to the world and the characters that I created in the first
book. Everything that happens needs to feel organic, and not like I'm
writing to please.
3.
Did you have a hard time keeping certain plot points or character
traits consistent though the sequel?
No,
not really! What I loved about writing the sequel was that I could
just hit the ground running. I can write these characters on
autopilot now; I know their fears and desires so well. Recently I
started a totally new manuscript. I'd forgotten what it felt like to
have to write unfamiliar characters!
4.
What are your go to writing snacks and drinks?
I
love tea and coffee, and I drink both while I write, but I'm not much
of a snacker.
5.
Did you have any really terrible writer's block? When you do get a
bad case of writer's block, what's your method for getting through
it?
I
have definitely had moments when the writing isn't easy. When that
happens, sometimes I'll take walks or work on something else to clear
my head, but usually I just try to write through it!
6.
Out of all your characters, old and new, who is your favorite? Least
favorite?
I
actually enjoy writing all
of them. Especially now that I feel so comfortable in this world and
in this series. I even loved writing Flea, the dog that's introduced
in THROUGH THE EVER NIGHT!
7.
If Perry and Roar were both vying for your affections, who would you
choose?
Oh,
boy. I really can't answer this. It feels very traitorous to even
consider!
8.
Are you working on any new projects at the moment?
I
am! I just began a new project that I'm very excited about. I can't
wait to be able to share more about it. Hopefully very soon!
9.
For those who have yet to pick up Under
the Never Sky, why
should they add it to their ever-growing TBR?
I'm
very biased, obviously, but they should add it if they are looking
for an exciting adventure with a romance, and great supporting
characters.

ReplyDeleteLilian @ A Novel Toybox
I loved Under the Never SKy and i can't wait to read Through the Ever Night. I've heard that it's a great read just like Under the Never Sky.
ReplyDeleteI just recently read Under the Never Sky over new years, and I loved it! I can't wait to get my hands on this book! Thanks for the interview!
ReplyDeleteUnder the Never Sky was amazing and I can't wait for Through the Ever Night!
ReplyDeleteI just finished this one last night and loved it so much! Flea is pretty awesome for a dog, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am not much of the outdoor survival type. And I hate fish. So I would probably before to be out of touch with reality and live in the Realms. :)
*prefer not before lol
DeleteLove this interview, and I loved this book so much!!!! Perry and Roar....just love them!

YA Sisterhood
I would probably choose the Wilds. It just sounds more woodsy.
ReplyDeleteI think I would choose the Wilds. I think I would feel too restricted in the Realms.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to say the wilds...but I'm not sure I'd survive! lol
ReplyDeleteI loved Under the Never Sky and can't wait to read Through the Ever Night. Thank you for the opportunity to win!
ReplyDeleteI would have to live in the Wilds, for sure.
ReplyDeleteI would live in the Wilds because honestly I would feel trapped in the Realms and that it would just not feel like it lives up to my ways of living.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm gonna have to go with the Wilds. :D Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteSend me to the wilds! cannot wait to get started on book 2!
ReplyDeleteI'd most definetly rather live out I the wilds!
ReplyDeleteOut in the wilds! And thanks for the giveaway
ReplyDeleteThe Wilds! I don't know. Something about the Realms really freaked me out. People really aren't living there, ya know? I'd rather feel and experience things in the Wilds, even if it were dangerous, than live in this secluded bubble oblivious to the wild and dangerous world beyond. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for this book, though I need to brush up on book number one. But me, I would choose the Realms because I'm a baby. And super lazy.
ReplyDeleteThe Wilds! You have your freedom and are actually living.
ReplyDeleteI read 70 books in 2012 and Under the never sky was one of my absolute favorite reads of 2012! Perry and Aria became my favorite YA couple! I read this book twice and I'm sure I'll be re-reading Through the ever night many times in the future! <3
ReplyDeleteThe Realms. I don't think I'd survive for very long in the Wilds.
ReplyDeleteSince I haven't read this yet I'm not sure which I would want to live in yet. I have Under the Never Sky on my shelf waiting for this one to read!
ReplyDeleteI really need to read UTNS. It's just sitting there begging me to. Lol!! I do know that I would rather live in the Wilds though. Even not reading the book yet, I know I know rather risk the dangers out in the wild then live in the Realms and be so restricted.
ReplyDeleteLove this Q&A! It never occurred to me that an author struggle with pleasing readers and that it may cause an affect to their writing.
ReplyDeleteFab interview! I loved both UTNS and TTEN!
ReplyDeleteHmm, I'd probably chill in the Realms, where I could live out my fantasies and at least pretend to be anywhere. Plus, I probably wouldn't last long in the Wilds :D
I know for sure that I would love to live out in the Wilds. I'm dying to read this book, I'm ecstatic. :)
ReplyDeleteI am a prissy girl who lives in her head, so the Realms for me!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the giveaway!!
Chill in the Realms but I'd prefer to hang with the Wilds boys :)
ReplyDeleteThe Wilds! I would hate to have such a plain and cookie cutter life like in the Realms and have nothing be truly real. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read this. I'm so excited. :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic interview! I would probably live out in the Wilds. The idea of the Realms doesn't thrill me at all, I would definitely prefer to have danger in my life over being sheltered and nothing being truly real.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! This sounds fantastic! I cant wait to read it! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHavent read this book, so i have no idea what you mean by the realms or the wilds.. but ill go with the wilds! haha! Great interview! and thanks for the awesome giveaway!
ReplyDelete- Farah @ MajiBookshelf
Thank you for this giveaway. I would want to live out in the wild.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the wilds. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteOut in the Wilds! I'm so excited to read this book! :)
ReplyDeleteI've only read a sample of Under The Never Sky, but I loved what I read. And I would rather live in the Wilds!
